Comparison of New HP LaserJet Printers (M3027, M3005, M3035)

!±8± Comparison of New HP LaserJet Printers (M3027, M3005, M3035)

Ever since they started offering printers in the market, Hewlett Packard has seen tremendous increase in their profits. This is because they offer a wide range of printers - from the basic, standalone ones to multi-function ones. These days, HP's laserjet Multi Function Printers (MFPs) are the talk of the town especially since more and more businesses now attest that these are more practical and cost-efficient. After all, there will no longer be a need to buy a separate fax machine, separate copier and separate printer. The HP laserjet printers already have these features rolled into one!

Three of the new HP laserjet printers out in the market today include the HP M3027, M3005 and M3035 models. All of these printers, which use either the Q7551X or Q7551A toner cartridges, are ideal for both small and medium scale businesses.

If you're thinking of buying any of these laserjet printers, you may want to consider the following assessment before you finalize that purchase:

The HP LaserJet M3027 model, a true blue MFP, offers printing, copying, faxing and even send-to-email features. The printer's case is very compact and has an easy-to-use touch screen control panel. Ideal for medium scale, document intensive environments, it offers the revolutionary two-sided printing method. You can print 27 pages per minute - a modest but cost-efficient print rate. What makes this printer different from most of the multifunction printers is its 40 GB built-in hard drive.

The HP LaserJet P3005 model, on the other hand, has a 48 MB RAM expandable to 320 MB. With a 400 MHz processor, you can easily print up to 35 pages per minute. Not bad for small scale businesses that cannot afford to wait for the prints to come out. If you run a document intensive office, this one's a good choice especially if you need that crisp black text every time. It also has a USB 2.0 port and one open EIO slot, making it friendly for your flash disks and other removable storage media. The HP Laserjet M3005 is low maintenance and boasts of what the manufacturer calls "Instant On Technology," which lets the printer deliver the first page in less than 9.5 seconds. This printer also has a 500-sheet input tray and 100-sheet multipurpose tray. Use the Q7551X toner cartridge for this printer.

Meanwhile, the M3035 model, is akin to the M3005 model but on steroids, so to speak. It is capable of printing, black-and-white copying and color scanning. A great piece of equipment especially for the document intensive office, it can spur up to 75,000 pages per month. Unlike the M3005, though, it has 256 MB DDR RAM which is expandable to 512 MB. You can also use your Mac OS with this printer as this is compatible with non-Windows systems. Its 40 GB hard drive also makes it easy for the user to store sensitive documents and then have them printed whenever he wants to without going back and forth to his computer.
